Kenneth ‘Ken’ Chadwick was a very early member of the club going back to the 1940’s and was the club’s first Treasurer.
There are few details of committee members from that era but we understand Ken had considerable input into the establishment and administration of the club in those early years.
It is part of club history that Ken Chadwick went to Brisbane with Doug Dickman, another farmer, to collect the first table, which cost £240, a lot of money in those days.
Therefore, it is thanks to Ken and other early members that we have such a well-established and enjoyable club.
In 2009 Ken was awarded the Order of Australia for his dedication to the community.
