Michael (Mike) Naray

Mike Naray joined the Club around the year 2000.

His name first appears on the club’s honour board when he won the Chadwick Shield ‘A’ Grade Snooker in 2001.

Prior to 2000 he had played in NSW.

Over the next 22 years members of BSSC who came to know Mike saw a very good player who shared his passion for Snooker and probably more-so Billiards by coaching and refereeing.

Mike became a great friend to many as a very active, tireless and supportive committee member and became Captain of the club.

As a referee he was very highly respected throughout Australia.

His passion for Billiards led him to help create our current annual handicap billiards completion and this is now aptly named The Mike Naray Memorial Handicap Billiards Tournament with a designated Trophy in honour of his significant contribution.

Tragically Mike passed away on Friday 22nd July 2022.
